Fairly produced:
At CrushClub Climbing, making great gear is only part of the story. We're just as committed to making sure it's produced fairly, not only by keeping things accessible, but also by doing it in a way that respects the planet.
What does "fairly produced" mean to us?
For us, it starts with accessibility. We want everyone, whether you're a first-time climber or a seasoned pro, to have access to well-designed, fun(ctional) gear. That’s why we keep prices fair and our product designs versatile enough to fit anywhere, from busy gyms to tight home setups.
But fairness also means thinking about where our materials come from.
Giving Old Wood a New Life
One of the best things about CrushClub is our love for reclaimed wood. Rather than relying on freshly cut materials, we try to build everything using wood from secondary sources, like flooring industry off-cuts or damaged furniture from second-hand stores.
Most of this wood would eventually be trashed or burned. Instead, we give it a new purpose, turning it into climbing tools you’ll actually want to use.
How reclaimed wood becomes a new product:
Tracking Our Impact
To help us (and you) keep track of the difference we’re making, we’ve built a small but effective impact metric on our website.
Every order placed, whether by a climber at home or a climbing gym, gets logged. We calculate the weight of reclaimed wood used in that order, then estimate how much CO₂ is stored in the material and how much would have been released if it had gone to waste. These numbers are updated live on our homepage, and you’ll even get a breakdown at checkout showing the impact of your own order.
We started tracking this in January 2025, when our web platform went live. CrushClub has been around longer, but this is the starting point for our data.
